California Native Garden, Backdrops and San Juan Cove Painting Teachers Example

The garden club planted a California native , succulent and palm tree garden at the school next to the front office....the one king palm tree represents the king palm that Father Serra and Gaspar de Portola planted in San Diego to mark the first Spanish mission in 1769.

The art club and garden club are working on the backdrops for the Portola musical theatre production "Grease".

The art classes are working on Orange County Historical Drawings for the Heritage Foundation art contest in Santa Ana...this is a teachers example of a painting of San Juan Cove (Dana Point) with Richard Henry Dana anchored in the cove to get cowhides fro San Juan Capistrano Mission. The students are also drawing 'Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana and San Juan Capistrano Mission.
